Providing superior care for children aged three months to five years. Stripy Horse Day Nursery is a home from home, enabling your child to learn, play and explore in a unique setting. Based in Preston Patrick, the setting offers a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities for your child to choose from. There is easy parent parking for drop offs and pick-ups, flexible hours, home-cooked food, extensive grounds and all-weather outdoor play areas in a spacious, safe, environment with the highest standard of professional care
About us
Set in a Georgian House, our unique home from home environment gives our children the freedom to explore and learn at their own pace. Operating with a traditional nursery design, our emphasis is on creating a minimalist, serene, light and spacious nursery which contains equipment to encourage all areas of development within each age group. With two homely teaching and play rooms and a beautiful garden area each child has the freedom to learn and develop through exploration. We place a huge emphasis on learning through play and our experienced staff provide a range of activities and experiences both indoors and outdoors.
The Explorers
Babies aged three months – two years
In our Explorers Room , we have a particular focus on individual interests. We follow routines set at home to encourage a smooth settling in process. Each of our Explorers takes part in daily activities which supports their learning and development as well as spark their natural curiosity to investigate.
The Adventurers
Children aged two – five Years
Our Adventurers have the opportunity to engage in exciting and challenging activities which are planned to encourage them to be independent in their next steps of learning.
By learning through play and meaningful experiences, our children can really reach their full potential and be ready for their transition to school.
The Garden
We have an extensive garden area which allows our children the freedom to explore the natural world.
Come rain or shine we think of our garden as an extended classroom.
We encourage our children to take risks in a safe and controlled environment. This allows them to learn how to assess and manage risks appropriately whilst keeping safe and having fun.
